Jason Schmidt whiffed 10 batters and Craig Wilson had 2 base hits as the
Dyersville Jurassics defeated the Chainsaw Proctologists by the score of 4 to
3 at the ballpark.
Schmidt(6-3) pitched well for Dyersville in their victory. He surrendered 10
hits and 2 walks in 7 innings. The pitchers took over after the 4th inning
as neither team was able to score again.
Joe Nathan was credited with his 8th save. John Thomson(1-8) was hit with the
loss. Schmidt was jubilant in the hometown clubhouse, 'It was a lot of fun
out there. The fans gave me a lot of support as did my teammates. We got
the victory and I'll sure take 10 strikeouts anytime!'
